It was a cloudy that day that Celia went to the park to await her boyfriend.  While she was seated at a park bench, she reminisced about the time that she first met Alex in their first year of high school.  While she was walking to school that first day of classes, she noticed a boy her age playing with some dogs in a front yard.  At the time what struck her as odd was that she realized he played along with them just as if he too was one of the dogs.  They were playing with a ball which in the play got knocked toward her.  The dogs ran after the ball but the boy stopped in apparent surprise at someone watching them.  It appeared as if he was suddenly shocked with embarrassment because he had been seen.  Then Celia picked up the ball and walked over to hand it to him saying, “Hello, my name is Celia. What’s your name?”
The question seemed to snap him out of his shocked state and he nervously replied, “Alex.”
Then she asked after an awkward pause, “Do you always play with dogs like that?”
“Well, yeah, sometimes.  I don’t have a lot of friends. My dogs are my friends.”
After that, Celia felt a little embarrassed having asked the question.  Then she asked, “Are you homeschooled?” noticing he wasn’t coming along.
“Yes, my parents prefer to teach me apart from other kids. “
Celia replied after a pause, “Well, I have to get going.  See you later, Alex.”
“See you later,” he answered.  He watched her walk away and hoped he might see her again soon.
Later after school, she walked by his yard looking to see if he was still there.  Alex was sitting on the porch of the house with one of his dogs.    She called out, “Hey Alex!”
He looked up and said, “Hey, Celia.  Wasn’t sure I would see you again.”
“Why wouldn’t I?”  she asked teasingly.
He shook his head and replied, “maybe because you saw me acting like and playing with my dogs.  That’s normal for me.”
After an awkward silence she replied, “Well, that’s not a reason not to see you.”
“Really, you don’t find that strange?”
“Well, a little, but that’s not a reason to not become friends.”
He looked at her with surprise,  “So you would like to be friends with me?”
“Yes and couldn’t you use a friend?”
He smiled as he thought it would be good to have a friend who is not a dog.  They spent the next two hours talking and getting to know each other.  Celia found that she liked him but he revealed very little about his family and when she asked to meet his parents, he replied, “not yet.  I need to tell them I have a new friend.  Then you can meet them later.”
Realizing it was getting late, she asked when they could meet again.  Alex thought for a moment then replied, “How about this Saturday?”
“Sure, what time?”
“How about 11:00?”
“Sounds good.  Well, I got to get home.  See you Saturday.”  She waved to him as she started home and Alex waved back.  She smiled to herself as she walked, happy to know she was gaining a new friend.
She smiled at the memory of when they first met.  Then she started to think about when they first started dating.   It was in the second year of high school when Alex first asked Celia for a date.  She was surprised to be asked but was glad to accept because she had liked him for more than a friend for quite a while.  They decided to go to the park for a picnic.  She was to meet him at the park and when she arrived, he had already set up everything.  She could see that he was attempting to make it a memorable time together.  Everything was going well until a cat wandered by and she thought she heard Alex growl.  She looked at him confused and asked, “you don’t like cats, do you?”
Then he stop growling and looking embarrassed, answered, “I guess I’ve spent too much time with my dogs and they don’t like cats.”
Then she answered, “Then good for you, I’m not much of a cat person.”  That made Alex smile.
After the cat incident, they spent the rest of the date talking.  Then Alex walked Celia home.  When they got to Celia’s home, before she went in she said, “Alex, I had a good time.”
“Glad you did.  I was afraid the cat incident spoiled it.”
She replied, “That was not enough to spoil a date with you.”  Then she drew close and kissed him on the lips.  He was surprised but found it easy to kiss her back.  When their lips parted, Celia smiled at him and slipped inside the door saying goodnight.
She smiled as she thought of that first kiss.  Then she begin to think of what they did on the day she graduated.   She had invited him to the graduation ceremony and then her following reception.  The ceremony went very well that day but a few hours after, she could not find him.  Then just before the reception started, he came in with something in his hand that looked like a small blue box.  He apologized for not seeing her sooner explaining that he had some trouble with his dogs.  It made her wonder what trouble with dogs could have taken that long.
After the reception started, they enjoyed a good time.  Alex surprised her with a gift of a little blue box with a white ribbon tied around it.  As she held it, he encouraged her to open it.  Inside was a silver chain necklace with a heart-shaped blue sapphire with a tiny diamond in its center.  She hugged Alex for giving her such a beautiful gift.  After the reception, they spent some time talking about their future plans but when the clock rang 7:00 p.m., Alex said he had to leave to talk with his parents about an apartment he wanted to rent.  Just before he left, he kissed her goodbye on the lips.  As he left, she thought she heard a dog-like whimper come from him.
Just as she finished remembering the graduation and the reception, she heard approaching footsteps.  She turned to see that it was Alex.  As he was approaching, she noticed that he was nervous as he heard a white box with a blue ribbon around it.  She got up to greet him with a smile and noticed that it seemed to relieve some of his nervousness.  He asked her if she had been there long?
She replied, “No, only about 10 minutes or so.”  She looked down at the box in his hand and asked, “What is this?”
He replied, “It’s a gift for you but don’t open it yet.”
She looked puzzled and said, “thank you.”
Then he said, “Come with me.  I want to take you somewhere special.”
Smiling, she followed him as he led her deeper into the park.  They walked for about 15 minutes going deeper into the woods until they were no longer in the park.  Celia was starting to wonder why they were so far out and beyond the park.  They finally stopped in front of a very large tree stump.  Then he turned around and told her to open her gift.  She saw a medallion shaped like a Husky with a blue stone for an eye.  She said to Alex, “Wow, this is beautiful.  Where did you find such a beautiful piece?”
“Actually, I didn’t find it, I made it for you.”
Then giving him a big hug, she said, “Thank you so much.”
Smiling, he said, “Well, put it on and let’s see how it looks.”
With a big return smile, she put the necklace around her neck.
He said, “It looks beautiful on you.”
“Thanks,” she said, blushing a little.  Then she started getting a tinkling feeling all over.  “Alex, what’s going on?” she asked nervously.
He looked down with a look of shame and said, “the necklace is changing you.”
Startled she replied, “Changing me?  What do you mean?”  Then she felt something coming out the end of her spine.  Then with a sudden burst of pain, a husky tail came out of her pants.  Then she realized that white fur was coming out of her skin all over.   Then she saw that her hands were becoming like paws but still shaped like hands.  Then she felt a great deal of pain in her legs as they were transforming into dog-like legs.  Losing her balance with the changed shape of her legs, she started to fall but Alex caught her.  Then she began to feel great pain in her head as it began to re-shape.  The front of her face began to elongate into a dog’s muzzle.  Then her ears started to grow up the sides of her head becoming pointed like a husky’s ears.  She whimpered like a dog as the pain continued.  Her muscles were swelling larger as she was growing in height at least a foot and she noticed new heightened senses of smell and hearing.  Finally the pain began to subside as the change was becoming complete.  She looked up at Alex wondering why he had done this.  Seeming to sense her question, he answered, “I wanted to be with you but to do that, I had to change you into one of my kind.”
      Celia said, “Your kind?”
He stepped back and started to change.  His legs started to shift as they became dog-like and rapidly grew brown and white fur.  Then his tail began to show and has head transformed into a huskie’s head.  His eyes changed from green to brown as she watched.  After the transformation was complete, she finally realized why he had always acted so much like a dog.
Then Alex said, “I didn’t want to change you but I had no choice so I made the necklace then my parents added the magic to change you.  He looked the other way ashamed of himself for what he had done.  Celia walked over to him and hugged him saying, “You did what you had to do to keep us together.  Then she kissed him.
He returned the kiss and said, “I love you” and she said, “I love you too.”
Then he said, “Since you are now an Anthro Dog,  I guess I can do this now.”  He pulled out a small box, opened it to reveal a ring with a sapphire diamond with two white diamonds beside it.  He said, “Will you marry me, Celia?”
She gave him a smile and said, “Yes!” with a big hug and another kiss.
A month later they were married.  A year later they had two little pups.  They named the girl Anna and the boy Jeff.  Whenever they are alone, they go out to the woods to spend time as a family leaving the worries of the outside world behind.  Celia has found what she always wanted despite being turned into an Anthro Dog; someone who loved her no matter what.  She has never regretted the change since she will always be with Alex.  Even if she had the opportunity to change back into a normal human she would not because she would not want to lose Alex.  So she was happy living with Alex and her two pups as an Anthro Dog.

This is my first critique, so don't judge plz XD
Overall, this is a really good piece. It has lots of the elements of classic TF stories and seems to be fair storytelling!
But the ending with the necklace seems to leave a question, instead of "Did he make any more?" to "How did his parents become magic?" and "Why is he a dog-man?" It has a good transition, and good quality, but the endings to these stories need work.

I have read many TF stories and I have to admit this is one of the good ones!

Goodbye!
